Every REV’IT! garment is carefully designed, developed, and safety tested with the protectors it comes with — either SEESMART CE Level 1 or SEEFLEX CE Level 2. During the CE certification process, the garment and its protectors are approved as a complete system. This means that the safety performance you can rely on has been officially tested with those exact protectors in place.
The pockets that hold the protectors are also custom-designed for their shape and size. They aren’t “universal” pockets — they’re constructed to ensure the protector fits snugly and securely, without moving around. This precise fit is what guarantees comfort while you ride, and it’s what allows the protector to perform properly in the event of an accident.
Because of this, replacing CE Level 1 protectors with CE Level 2 (or the other way around) isn’t possible. A different protector wouldn't fit correctly, and it would no longer match the garment’s tested and certified setup. It’s important to remember that both CE Level 1 and CE Level 2 protectors meet the high European safety standards. The main difference is that CE Level 2 offers a higher level of impact absorption, while CE Level 1 is often slimmer and lighter, which can mean more comfort and ventilation. Whichever version your garment comes with, you can trust that it was designed to provide the ideal balance of safety and comfort for its intended use.
